Most unfortunate delays

Due to unfortunate delays at Google Video (silly nut jobs can't get a simple upload process worked out...before they worry about not being evil they should worry about posting video files promptly), today's blog posting is delayed. To tide you over until the electrons start flowing over the "Internet" from Google, here is a ridiculously cute picture of me:

Matthew Strada indeterminacy principal

You might think that with me so cute, it would be easy to capture me on camera and video being cute. It's not. I am far more ridiculously cute than appears.

I know it might hard to believe that I could be cuter than in this video:

Or in this picture:

But I am. Much like trying to measure the position and the momentum of electron is impossible, the more you try and capture my cuteness on film, the more it escapes. It can be shown by this formula:

where x is cuteness, p is a person trying to photograph me and h is, of course, Planck's constant divided by 2pi.

Time goes faster with Papa in town

Papa, maternal grandfather, was in town last week. It was the weirdest thing. I swear there is a time warp in Connecticut. Maybe it's Park Avenue when we cross from Bridgeport into Fairfield.

Twice a day we would go on short walks. We would leave the house. I would scream for ten minutes. I would blink and when I opened my eyes we'd be almost at home. The peculiar part was that 120 minutes elapsed in the space of 15 minutes. It's almost like I slept through the walk, but in reality the day just got four hours shorter.

Of course, we could skip food altogether

I could go with just fruits, vegetables and rice cereal, if I had the right beverage. And by the right beverage I do not mean milk or water out of a sippy cup. I'm thinking Dutch and in a green bottle...

Bananas and oatmeal and pears, oh my

I've been eating quasi-real food for about a month now. In no particular order (other than favorites to least favorites), I've been eating: pears, apples, bananananana, sweet potato, squash, oatmeal, rice cereal.

Now you might be saying to yourself, "Self, doesn't this child eat meat? Is this finally a male Strada who eats and enjoys his fruits and vegetables."

Short answer: No.

Long answer: Feed me. I would love to try sweet, succulent steak, prime rib, pork chops, buffalo wings, buffalo burgers, turducken, spam, filet mignon. If only somebody would feed this stuff to me. Maybe az apam can sneak me some next time they're eating.....

This is the way we roll

I have enjoyed my time on my back. It really has been fun, but now it is time to discover the world of the floor. With lying on my back I can see the ceiling, actually the entire ceiling. The forest if you will. I feel that I am ready to investigate the trees. I need to see things close up. That means finding the whole new world that exists on the floor.

Once I get used to facing down and investigating stuff 1.5 inches from my face, I'm going to want to investigate other parts of the floor.

Az anyam and az apam better start babyproofing.
