I wanna ROCK

I'm going to have a wild, wild weekend over the next few days.

I might grab Ben and Kai and some other homies and go clubbing in Bport, my old hood. Or I might go to an SHU Basketball game. Go Pioneers! Or I might wait until my parents are asleep and sneak out and steal chickens.

Or, if I'm feeling really zany and nutty, I might take the rocks from the walkway to our house and throw them into a puddle. That is hours and hours and hours of amusement. The best part is that it's a way for the whole family to do something. I take the rocks from the walkway and az anyam and az apam put them back.

That'll be the day

Just because Nagymama and Nagypapa were visiting, I could not let the football rest. In fact, I now had fresh meat to play with. Playing with new people always teaches new lessons. Sometimes it's a new move, sometimes it's how to deal with being a superior athlete who thoroughly dominates the competition and sometimes it's something bigger.

Nagypapa taught me an important lesson. No, not that "I" and "team" hooey. Rather, he taught me that old people can still play too.

Shoe is on the other foot

One of the many nice things about having Nagymama and Nagypapa around is that they treat me like I should be treated, ie, the way I want to be treated.

For example, az apam has billions of minutes of video footage of me wanting to see what he was filming with the camera. It tends to go like this:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=248331850655212591&hl=en

Nagymama and Nagypapa are kind enough to actually show me what they're filming and take pictures with me rather than just of me.

And another thing

I forgot to mention yesterday that I wasn't the only one with killer playground moves.

If he's not careful, they'll take away his AARP move for this kind of derring-do.

Not gonna catch the midnight flyer

It was a little chilly when Nagymama and Nagypapa came to visit, but not too chilly to go to the park. We went to several parks several times.

Much of their time was spent chasing, but not catching me.

I might only be 20 months old, but I've got the moves of a 30 month old.

Nagymama and Nagypapa didn't quite get this and kept trying to baby me and catch me at the bottom of the slide.

Guess who came to dinner

I am finally caught-up on my blog postings and pictures. Well, I am caught up to last Saturday. That's when Nagymama and Nagypapa came for a visit. Or as I started calling them during their visit, Hagymama and Papa (not to be confused with the other nagypapa, Papa.)

I had Nagypapa read my Elmo book to me a lot.
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5108261098512325996&hl=en

No, really. A lot.
Even when we weren't sitting together.

I think he was enjoying it so much that at one point I made him read it when I was busy playing. He was just being coy, so I gave it back to him so he could keep reading it without me.

ChooChoo rolls on

This is the story of a boy who plays with a train. He plays with it in the morning. He is a happy boy.

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8825699244460366672&hl=en

He likes to play with his train. In his train playing zone, he remembers it is Mama's birthday.

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7764872231865202068&hl=en

He calls Mama to wish her a happy birthday. Mama is happy.

He hasn't seen Mama since Christmas. He can't wait to see her in a few weeks. They will all be happy then.

The nectar of the gods

I love ananasz. As much as I love other foods, I love ananasz that much more. The one thing I love more than ananasz is ananasz dzsusz.

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8285013076992781975&hl=en

Partly because it's so tasty, but mostly because it gives me the opportunity to use the elusive "dzs" betu. I don't get many opportunities to say Kilimandzsáró and bendzsó.

Keep drinking that tasty water

I have not discussed my plans for world domination in a while. I have been busy with my planning and had been stuck on one crucial step - how will I get everyone to fall into lockstep behind me? My cuteness will only get me so far. FLUORIDE.

The US government is spending millions of dollars a year fluoridating our water supply. Why? To save us money on dentists' bills? I don't think so. Chemists have proven it's for mind control. This guy has three whole entire sources he's basing his claim on and it's on the internet, so it must be true.

I'm just going to take over the government's EMT mind control network and assist people in seeing that life will be better under me.

That's why I'm sticking with non-fluoridated toothpaste.

I I I I I I'm not your stepping stone

We went to the Stepping Stones museum earlier this week. When we arrived one of my bestest friends was there, Ben.

I'd been there before a few months ago with Mama and Papa. There are all sorts of cool activities, but the awesomest one combines two of my favorite things - balls and water.

That's why all the photos and video of me are of me playing with water and balls.

Two special shout outs

Congratulations to Alice Neni and Erwin Bacsi. They had a baby on Monday. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of details. His name was going to be Snuffleupagus or Tom or something.

I also haven't seen any pictures yet. Fortunately, if you Google "Chinese baby" you get all sorts of cool images.

Also, I need to send out some get betters to Zsuzsannananana Neni. She's the wannabe Canadian on the left in the above photo. She's willing to go to great lengths to have an excuse for az anyam not to visit. She's hardcore that way.

They are so cute when they are so young

When a great man decides to take a sidekick, this is not only to aid the great man, but also for him to mentor and teach that sidekick. I've taken this responsibility seriously.

Kai and I do enjoy playing together, but it's not all fun, games and lollygagging. The other day we covered a few very important topics. First off was using a toy phone. The lessons went pretty well, but we kept getting distracted by Kai's weirdo slippers.

Then we got into a more advanced topic - microwaving. I showed him how to just keep pressing the buttons until it makes the noise you're looking for.

Spot books are so 1 1/2 year old

Now that I'm 22 months old, the time has come for me to move on from Spot books and the like. Rainbow Fish? Please.

I've taken a cue from az anyam and az apam. I now enjoy nothing more in the morning than perusing the latest Wall Street Journal. In the evening before bed I have az apam read me the Economist.

And, if I'm unable to sleep then I ask az anyam to read me some Michael Ondaatje. Works like magic.

I'm not that guy

As much as I enjoy helping az anyam and az apam cook, I also enjoy helping them clean up after. In fact, the first thing I like to do in the morning is empty the dishwasher whether it needs it or not.

Not only is it a help, I also get to check out all the cool utensil and pots and pans. Also, if there is a cumi in the wash I get to have it outside my crib. At least until az apam or az anyam notices.

Life is getting too easy for az anyam and az apam

Not only am I letting them sleep a lot more, I'm getting more independent all the time. I'm going to have stress some of the negative consequences of this a bit more with them.

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=1417297285708672431&hl=en

When we go to the park I am now hitting the slides on my own. I've been loving the slides for a while but haven't had much chance to show this because whoever was with me at the park had to help me sit, turn, slide and not hit the ground. Pretty soon I won't need diapers and shortly thereafter, I'll be driving and off to college.

Gratuitous Cuteness

I'm not really a fan of being the center of attention. It doesn't always have to be about me. I get especially self-conscious when I'm just being myself and others find it cute.

This time az apam went behind my back and posted this video. I begged him not to. I really did.
Pshaw. Not really. I'm just kidding. If you've got it, flaunt it.

It doesn't work like this at my kitchen

Az anyam has been very kind in letting me cook and bake with her quite frequently. Yesterday I got to make rice for over an hour. It was great moving the rice from one container to another and back again.

The other day we made muffins. When I make muffins at my kitchen it tends to be mixing foods together and they stay in their orginal form.

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=936199972645953583&hl=en

In az anyam's magical kitchen we mixed all sorts of ingredients together we get yummy tasty foods. I like muffins. No. I really like muffins. Especially the ones we made. They were yummy, yummy, yummy in my tummy, tummy, tummy.

I don't wanna wake up

Yesterday I was planning out today's posting. I was going to go into a long soliloquy about how much better I've been sleeping and how thankful my parents are. I was going to tell the world about my sleeping in until 7 most mornings or almost 8 some morning.

Then I thought, why don't I get up really early for old time's sake. It was such a brilliant idea that I got up this morning shortly after five and started screaming. It was awesome.

Keresztpapa, HELP!!!!

I've moved on from football, but am having difficulty with some of these other "sports."

Hockey is more of a game than a sport and a confusing one at that. It's not a straightforward, simple sport like football. I could definitely use some help with this sport.

Keresztpapa, Being a Canadian and a Leafs fan, I figure you are into all this hockey stuff. If you have the name of anyone who has hockey skills and can teach me, I'd appreciate it.

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=1525339409987588468&hl=en

I don't have a ride-on zamboni yet, so I've been using my fire truck.

Holy Moly, Batman

There is only one thing I could conceivably post about today: Football.

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7012373750013792147&hl=en

Did you see that game? Did you see that game?

I didn't. Az anyam and az apam wouldn't let me stay up to watch it last night. This morning I got to watch the end of the game with az apam.
