What's a boy to do at the zoo?

I went to the zoo over the weekend. I usually love going to the zoo. Walking around and seeing the animals is usually enough. In my Type A sort of way, I need to keep evolving and expanding the scope of what I do. I was trying to do that at the zoo. I thought, "Wouldn't it be cool if I could combine some of my favorite activities in a peanut butter/chocolate kind of way?"

Unfortunately, they don't have bodies of water in the zoo accessible to non-caged animals so I couldn't combine throwing kavicsok into viz while at the zoo.

I had to make do with what I had and just throw kavicsok at the zoo.

Not the same old, same old

Sometimes it may seem like I just keep repeating myself. You're thinking to yourself, "Self, how many times is Mate going to use that silly 'self' gimmick?" Or, "Self, how many times do we have to see him cooking?" Or, "Self, how many times do we have to see Mate throwing stones in the water?"
You have to understand the nuance going on. Man did not evolve. I mean, man did not evolve overnight. It took eons of subtle change for him to go from being a slouching Neanderthal to homo sapiens. Similarly, you must pick up on the nuance in these postings.

Important items to note that differentiate this throwing stuff in water post from all of my other throwing stuff in water posts:

  • Lake not a creek, river or puddle
  • Sticks not stones
  • Highly advanced (large) sticks
  • Advanced throwing technique

EEEEExxxxxxxtttttttrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeemmmmmeeee

In my quest for amusement and entertainment and with az anyam not around for a few days, I decided to try some extreme sports. The first one I've picked up is base jumping.

However, I am not even two years old and I've never basejumped, so I'm starting out small. Like really small. Like really, really small.
Even when I'm doing a crazy and adventurous thing, I like to be cautious and methodical about it.

When you see a fork in the road...

You take it.

When you see a pebble next to a creek, you throw it. I know I talked at length about this from our trip to the Audubon Society, but it has become an important part of my life.

When I went on the walk where this video was recorded, I was not happy when it was time to leave. I was even less happy when we walked by the road with the creek on our way home. I subtly displayed my displeasure.

Basekey???

Having Canadian and American roots gets to be confusing at times. I'm having trouble with what sport should be "my sport." Lacrosse is the national sport of Canada, but everybody plays and loves hockey.

On the American side, football is the sport everyone follows and plays, but baseball is America's pasttime.
This confusion is not helping my development:

The Csodaszarvas

No, not the Hungarian/Disney cover band from the late 90s/early 00's. I'm talking about Hunor and Magor looking for that ethereal white stag. That elusive white whale. The pretty girl in Parma. That non-argumentative Hungarian. That blue Geo Tracker. One of those things that you've heard exists, but have trouble believing and have seen little proof of. All of you doubting Thomases can now believe, because az apam got a wee bit of video.
It's easy to get pictures and video of me when I'm absorbed in something. The above picture is a good example - I'm more interested in watering the flowers than in a mamikam taking my picture. However, as I've mentioned before, most of the time I prefer to look at the pictures stored on the camera as soon as I see the camera.

Az apam has been trying to get video of my latest dance moves for the longest time. He recently briefly caught me dancing to one of my newest favorite ditties from that 1970 classic the Aristocats - Everybody wants to be a cat.
