Your modesty would be appreciated

The other week when we went applepicking, I had a revelation.

Leah had given me an apple and I had taken my first bite when I realized all of my stuffed animals wear no pants.

Since then I've been on a mission to properly pelenka-ize them. It's just such a pain to change them when they get dirty.

One thing missing at Mama and Papa's

I enjoyed my time in Canada. I really did. I also enjoyed working in the yard raking. I really did. The whole time there I felt something was missing. I really did. At first, I thought it was az apam. I really did.

Then I realized, Mama and Papa need a retaining wall I can jump off of and into a pile of leaves. That is wicked cool raking.

The way raking was meant to be.

A puzzle wrapped in a puzzle hidden inside a puzzle

I have been playing with puzzles quite a bit. I really enjoy them. I think it's all part of the OCD I inherited from az anyam and az anyam alone. You have a mess of pieces and have to make order. I'm a little entropy machine.

It's a favorite activity of az anyam and az apam at 5 in the morning. Let me rephrase that, it's a favorite assigned activity from az anyam and az apam at 5 in the morning.

Leafing on a Jet Plane

Winter comes a little earlier in Toronto than in Connecticut. That didn't stop our yard at home from filling with leaves, while Mama and Papa's yard was also full of leaves.

In a kind of crazy, cosmic, telepathic coincidence, while az anyam and I raked leaves at Mama and Papa's house, az apam was raking leaves at our house in CT. Sheer madness.

Homes is homes

I've done a fair amount of travel in my time. What makes it a lot easier is that I can do a lot of the same things on the road as I do at home. When I was in Toronto I did all the things I do at home.

I went around the house taking pictures of my favorite things.

I sat on the couch reading.

I had a grandparent read to me.

I also get up before the crack of dawn at other peoples' homes, just like at my home.
