If the shoe fits.....

I am a think outside the box kind of guy. I try and work inside standard parameters, but when that solution doesn't exist I blow the box apart.

Take, for example, shoes. I am constantly putting on and taking off shoes. My shoes are a bit small and I'm not yet that good at putting them on.

From the Frozen Tundra

Mama and Papa left Toronto to come for a visit in Connecticut. While there are a myriad of reasons to do this (like oh I don't know, me), I think the key one comes down to one word - global warming.
Canada is a party to the Kyoto protocol. This has solved most of their problems - their economy is booming, the wine flows like beer and the beautiful women flock there like the salmon of Capistrano. However, it also means they still get winter.

Here in the US, Bushitler rejected Kyoto in 1997 so we have had a really mild winter. The snow hasn't fallen much and when it has, it's melted right away. It's not quite a vacation in Cuba, but the way I got strapped into the stroller it felt a bit like one.

I feel I'm a little young to make this level of commitment. Really, it's not you. It's me.

I think we should enjoy this time while we're young. Maybe see other people. If we are meant to be together, we'll end up back together. We should still stay friends.

What? No. There really isn't someone else. Well, I have kinda been seeing someone. Her name is Leah. She's an older woman. We met at the library and played dress-up.

At that point it wasn't anything serious. But we had a few playdates and next thing I know, I'm at her birthday party at the zoo.

I hadn't been in the mood to eat anything all day, but then she gave me a cupcake.....and if that weren't enough.....

We played magically in the camera/picture/photo booth thingy. Wow.

Round, round, round, like a record, baby

Over the weekend I went to a birthday party at the zoo. It was my friend Leah's 2nd birthday. Unfortunately, the weather was so rainy and dreary that we spent the entire party inside. They have a carousel at the zoo and az apam thought it would be fun for us to take a ride on the carousel.
He was wrong. I was not even willing to sit on one of the scary, frozen horses.

After I got some lunch and saw Leah go on the carousel I warmed to the idea of going riding. It also helped to go with az anyam.

Fortunately, parents don't need sleep

You may have thought that Daylight Savings Time would give me the opportunity to shift my schedule from getting up at 6 am to 7 am. This is what az apam thought. Very logical. It's not like I have appointments to schedule. If my body clock was getting up at 6 am on Saturday, it should get up at 7 am on Sunday if the clock gets moved up an hour. This was correct....for Sunday.

By Monday I got up at 630 am and today I awoke before 6 am.
